A total of over 61 million hours was put into the open beta from players. The Butcher, the infamous demon of the franchise that players could randomly encounter in the beta, slayed 1.7 million players but only 576,000 managed to defeat the brute. 10 million players were killed by Ashava but only 100,000 were able to kill the mighty beast (and one player who impressively managed to almost solo it). Over 29 billion monsters were slain during the open beta weekend as well with over 46 million player deaths. The other stats posted by Blizzard reveals that 2.6 million players have unlocked the Beta Wolf Pack, which can only be acquired as a reward for reaching the level 25 cap. I frequently used both classes during the beta and maxed them out at the level 25 cap.īlizzard didn’t reveal the stats for the rest of the classes, though we imagine the Barbarian might not have been a popular choice given many complaints about the class feeling notably weaker than other classes until properly levelled up. Sorcerer’s harness elemental powers to unleash devastating AoE and ranged attacks while Necromancers can summon armies of the undead to fight alongside them. Both classes are considered incredibly powerful, especially for newcomers and utilise a variety of spells and magic to control the battlefield. It turns out that the Sorcerer and Necromancer classes were the most played choices in Diablo 4‘s open beta. A bunch of other information was also revealed about how many times players died to the beta’s world boss, Ashava, the total amount of monsters killed, the total hours played, how many players encountered and died to The Butcher and more. Blizzard Entertainment has revealed which classes were the most played during the Diablo 4 open beta weekend and to no one’s surprise, Sorcerer and Necromancer took the top spots.
